An annual Sierra Nevada Region of Soroptimist International of the Americas Fellowship is being offered to women who are in Graduate school programs studying to receive a doctorate by the, Inc. To be eligible for this program, women must be citizens of one of the 119 countries represented in Soroptimist International and be attending school in the Sierra Nevada Region. (University of California at Davis, University of Nevada at Reno and Las Vegas, and University of Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law.)

The applicant must provide the following information as outlined on the application:

1. A BRIEF AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
2. STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL NEED
3. STATUS OF DOCTORAL PROGRAM
4. TWO CONFIDENTIAL LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
5. SHE MUST COMPLETE ALL CRITERIA AS REQUIRED ON THE APPLICATION. THE APPLICATION MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 10  TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS YEAR’S JUDGING.

The awards will be presented to recipients at the Spring Conference of the Sierra Nevada Region of Soroptimist International of the Americas in Reno, April 2010.
